Use Nomid’s kiosk launcher to give a shared or frontline device a controlled set of approved apps. Configure navigation and device behavior in the same policy.
MAKE IT FIT THE WORK
In multi-app kiosk, the launcher can do more than hold approved apps. Give your team a home screen that is easy to recognize, use, and support.
Use a branded wallpaper and choose light or dark text to keep the screen readable.
Order the apps, choose their icon size, and keep up to six key apps in the bottom bar.
Optionally show the device serial number on the launcher so staff can identify the device when they need help.
FROM SETUP TO SUPPORT
The kiosk is only useful if your team can change it after rollout. Nomid connects the device experience to the policy behind it.
Choose single-app or multi-app kiosk, select the apps, and set the controls that belong to the task.
Use a managed policy to bring the same setup to the Android devices you assign.
Update the policy or use remote support. For hands-on service, an authorized administrator can temporarily leave kiosk mode when the device and policy allow it.

THE PRACTICAL DETAILS
Know which mode to use and how it works with your devices.
Kiosk mode gives a managed Android device a defined purpose. In Nomid, choose single-app kiosk for one destination or multi-app kiosk for a controlled set of approved apps.
Single-app kiosk directs the device to one selected app and requires a maintenance password in the policy. Multi-app kiosk uses the Nomid launcher for a focused set of approved apps. Both are choices within Nomid Kiosk.
You can update the policy and app selection from Nomid. Managed devices receive applicable changes when they can connect and sync; the exact behavior depends on their Android version, enrollment method, and configuration.
When the device and policy allow it, an administrator can open a time-limited maintenance window. Single-app kiosk uses a password-protected gate; multi-app kiosk can expose an authorized Exit kiosk action. The device returns to kiosk mode when the window ends.
Kiosk mode is designed for company-owned, dedicated devices. A work profile is usually a better starting point for personally owned devices because it separates work from personal use.
