What it does

Brief Claude like a colleague from IT

Claude calls Nomid's tools for you: it finds devices, reads policies and sends commands you confirm, and results link to the matching page in the portal.

  • Find any device

By name, serial number, IMEI, model or tag, with battery, location, policy and why it is out of compliance.

  • Understand what went wrong

Ask why a device can't be reached remotely and get likely causes, evidence and next steps.

  • Act on devices, after you say yes

When your company enables device commands, lock, reboot, start lost mode, open an app or send a message to the devices you name. The assistant is instructed to ask first.

  • Enroll new devices

When your company enables provisioning, ask for a provisioning QR code that enrolls a new or reset Android device into a policy. A code is created only when you ask, carries a live enrollment token valid for 24 hours and can contain the Wi-Fi password.

  • Why can't I reach the tablet at the front desk remotely?
  • Show me the settings of the Warehouse scanners policy.
  • Put WH-TAB-014 in lost mode with the IT desk number.
  • Who logged in on the reception kiosk yesterday?
  • Make a QR code to enroll new tablets into the Retail policy.

FAQ

Questions before you connect

Can Claude wipe a device by mistake?

Not unless you set it up. Nomid's sign-in offers read access, device commands and provisioning, and destructive commands such as wipe need the destructive scope requested explicitly by the assistant, or an API key with that permission, plus your company's destructive commands setting. Nomid's instructions to assistants also require them to tell you exactly what happens to which device and to get your explicit yes first.

Do I need an API key?

Not for Claude. Sign in with Nomid connects as you. Codex, Cursor and scripts use an API key, whose permissions decide which tools work. An API key is also one way to get policy changes or destructive commands.

What does Claude see from my fleet?

Only the results of the tools it calls, within your access. In policy documents, secrets and app configuration values are hidden. Provisioning QR codes are created only when you ask; a code carries a live enrollment token valid for 24 hours and can contain the Wi-Fi password. Results also reach the AI service you connect, so review its privacy terms.
